The Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX) is an independent fiduciary auditing firm that reviews InterServ annually. The CEFEX certification means that our services conform to a defined standard of practice, demonstrate adherence to industry best practices, and have been delivered with integrity. We are proud to have been the third Registered Investment Advisor in the United States to receive the CEFEX certification for consulting ERISA plans.

InterServ’s parent company, DailyAccess Corporation, is an ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries) Certified Recordkeeper and has been awarded the Five Star Fiduciary Fitness Ranking for recordkeepers from Investment Fiduciary Leadership Council (IFLC).

IFLC is a not-for-profit organization that advocates fiduciary standards for organizations entrusted with the care of financial assets of others. IFLC advocates adherence to uniform standards for organizations that are accountable for the investment of others’ assets, as well as those that provide support services.

As an ERISA § 3(21) investment advisor, InterServ serves in a fiduciary capacity, providing investment advice but leaving the investment selection decisions to the plan sponsor and/or financial advisor.

As an ERISA § 3(38) investment manager, InterServ serves in a fiduciary capacity with respect to specific discretionary actions related to model portfolios that are available to plan participants as investment options in the plan. These actions generally relate to asset allocation decisions but may also involve the initial selection, monitoring, and replacement of the funds that comprise the model.
