Discretionary Investment Management Service
Our ERISA § 3(38) Discretionary Investment Management Service can enhance financial intermediary/plan sponsor strategic partnerships by providing an investment process that is designed to mitigate potential liability for plan sponsors. We provide:
- Specific investment fund recommendations via an unbiased investment selection process, working directly with the financial intermediary and plan sponsor
- Review and customization of an Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
- Ongoing investment monitoring and due diligence to help align the plan’s investment process with the IPS
- Quarterly plan reporting that is easy to understand and which includes an economic and legislative update that focuses on the retirement plan industry
- A dedicated InterServ professional to help guide the plan’s investment committee and financial intermediary through the documented investment process, and to provide specific recommendations
We offer Defined Contribution Managed Asset Portfolios (DC MAP), which are asset allocation models designed to help plan participants meet their retirement goals. These portfolios are based on two key elements: 1) the plan participant's risk tolerance and 2) his/her expected retirement date.
MAPs are also available for cash balance and defined benefit plans. Our Defined Benefit and Cash Balance MAPs (DB MAP and CB MAP) are discretionary portfolios managed in accordance with plan-specific characteristics.
